Since Kyron's disappearance, there have been many requests for child ID Kits. "The kits are free of charge and include non-intrusive and valuable information that may be used in instances like Horman’s. Hayes has sent kits to residents in 17 states and in one five-day period received 600 e-mails requesting the materials." (quoted from OSP)
No matter what, you should always have a current picture of your child on hand, and the current weight and height. Heaven forbid anything happens to our gift from God, we will have the materials to give to the police when we can barely speak from fright and sorrow. Educating our children on whom they can trust, even when they are family members, is very important. If they have a "funny feeling" about that person, they should run, not walk, to the nearest adult that they trust. Sometimes they can just run to the nearest public official, because we are all mandatory reporters, and tell what happened.
Take care of our kids, because they are our future!!
